11 April - North Devon Festival Launch

Big stars - Big events - Special commissions

£48million boost for local economy

From 27 events to over 200 in just 10 years

The North Devon Festival returns for the whole of June with its biggest and best series of events yet to mark its 10th anniversary. Top artists to visit the Festival include Paul Merton, Alfie Boe, Angelina Ballerina, Courtney Pine, Laury Dizengremel, Toots and the Maytals, Lee Evans and Billy Cobham, featured alongside the outstanding regular events GoldCoast Oceanfest, Appledore Visual Arts Festival, Lynton & Lynmouth Music Festival and Art Trek.

Special commissions include the spectacular light and sound experience of Barnstaple Colourscape Festival and a new theatre production by Bash Street Theatre, part of the Festival’s tradition of touring shows to villages.

Over the last 10 years, the North Devon Festival has attracted nearly a million people to participate in events, 40% of whom came from outside the region. This in turn has helped develop the tourism of the area and, in the last five years alone, the Festival has generated an incredible £48 million for the economy of North Devon.

With so much going on, there is sure to be something for everyone and the perfect excuse to get out and about, and with over 50% of the events being free, the North Devon Festival is truly accessible for everyone.
