GoldCoast Oceanfest, the largest single event in the North Devon Festival, continues to grow in both stature and reputation, and is hugely respected and deeply ensconced on the beach sports calendar. Hosting a unique format of events where over 500 athletes including top international freesports professionals, enjoy a chilled ambience amongst the fiercest competition, against the majestic backdrop of Croyde Bay on North Devon’s Gold Coast.

All this adjacent to a fully licensed oceanside Arena hosting a Live Music Stage and Big Screen showcasing international surf stars like Donavon Frankenreiter and UK musical talent, a Trade Village incorporating licensed bars & organic cuisine plus an adrenalin zone, demos, workshops, exhibitions, sampling booths, simulators, hospitality suites, local produce and an eco expo all adding to the eclectic ambience of the event.

One of the major aims of the GoldCoast Oceanfest is to nurture the oceansports industry, create awareness for ocean related causes and encourage corporate participation in these endeavours. 2008 will see the 5th Awareness and Activities Day hosting 1500 year 6 pupils from over 45 schools throughout Devon under the theme of 'Legacy'. This countywide initiative aims to inspire those involved toward the 2012 London Olympics.
