A Baroque Musical Feast: Duo Dorado

Music for violin & harpsichord at Chittlehampton Church
Category: Music and Dance

Starts: Friday, June 06, 2008

A sparkling evening of music from eighteenth-century Europe by Vivaldi and his contemporaries, including the ever-popular 'Spring' and 'Summer' from Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons' and work from Handel, Scarlatti and Corelli arranged for violin and harpsichord.

Hazel Brooks (violin) studied the violin at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig, and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. David Pollock (harpsichord) specialised in the harpsichord at the Royal Academy of Music where he won the Croft Early Music First Prize.

We advise bringing a cushion as this lovely 15th century church has traditional wooden pews.

A pre-booked supper is available from 6.15pm.

We programme a variety of musical evenings with a tasty supper beforehand. This is the final first Friday in the month concert for 2007/8. The next season starts on 03/10/08. For more programme details and other village events visit our website below.

**Another date for the diary: the Traditional Patronal Fete on Saturday 5th July.**
