With the acclaimed JS Quartet as its nucleus this new group could be set to turn heads on the UK jazz scene. Performing original compositions and arrangements by guitarist James Shipway the band's distinctive brand of music encompasses everything from quirky big band style passages and hypnotic ethnic grooves, to lush shimmering harmonies all played with a spiky contemporary twist. With a stellar front line and rhythm section you know you’re in for something good, so hold on tight and expect to be blown away by the incredible sound of the JS Sextet. Joining James are Roz Harding (alto sax); Martin Holland (Trumpet); Bob Martin (Trombone); Marcus Vergette (bass) and Dave Sheen (drums).
Time: 13:45 (Please note: this is a change to the published start time).
