Find out about wavelite, North Devon’s own mineral, and investigate Devonian fossils with our video microscope. Learn about Devonian rocks, including Delabole slate, and how they have shaped our towns and villages. You can even practise your climbing!

Have a closer look at North Devon’s clays and pigments, including Bideford Black. Watch out for other events in the Devon Rocks programme, Devon County Council’s range of projects to celebrate the International Year of Planet Earth (IYPE) in 2008.

In collaboration with Appledore Visual Arts Festival and the North Devon Coast & Countryside Service.
