In 2008, the Appledore Visual Arts Festival will be celebrating its 11th Anniversary. From its inception 11 years ago the Festival has grown significantly and is now recognised as a major high quality arts event with a reputation for an innovative programme.

Satish Kumar of Resurgence will open the Festival in the Glove Factory at 7.30pm on Wednesday May 28th.

The theme for 2008 is ‘Earth’. Appledore Arts in association with Resurgence will be running a specific programme of events linked to ‘Earth, Art and Spirit’. The Festival will be a contemporary celebration of the Earth and how we are all inspired and affected by the environments around us.

The programme of exhibitions, events and residencies, educational projects, open studios and workshops involves everyone from internationally known artists to Torridge based craftspeople, children and community groups.

The majority of events are free and everyone is encouraged to participate.

 

Time: 11:00 – 18:00 each day with evening events on 29th, 30th and 31st
Price Details: Festival Pass - Adults £3. Most events free. Some advance booking required for workshops and performances
