After three highly successful Science Days on site, Bideford College’s event this year will be held at Tapeley Park, the ‘Sustainable Stately Home', by kind permission of Hector Christie. The theme is sustainability.

There will be many stalls, stands and attractions. There will be competitions and activities for all the family based within the grounds, including nature trails and pond dipping, as well as the usual favourites such as giant bubbles, model hot air balloons, rocket launching, animal displays, Exmoor Zoo Roadshow and Torrington 1646 we welcome the Fairy Land Trust. Plus internationally renowned guest speaker Phil Williams of Plan It Eco.

There are two competitions, both free entry on the day: Best Fancy Dress (theme - Sustainability) and Best RAG BAG (homemade from recycled materials to use as a shopping bag). The competitions will be judged by Lantern FM on the day, with £250 worth of prizes to be won.

Directions: Between BIDEFORD and BARNSTAPLE near INSTOW. Follow brown tourist signs TAPELEY PARK from the A39 onto the B3233. Local buses stop near to the gates next to the Tarka Trail.

 

Time: 11:00 - 17:00
Price Details: Adults £2, Senior Citizens £1.50, Children 50p. Admission to gardens inclusive in price. Tickets to be purchased at the gate on the day.
