Directed by Ray McVay
Ray McVay presents Wartime Memories, a brand-new show with the Glenn Miller Orchestra bringing the 40s back to Barnstaple.
The Moonlight Serenaders, with the fabulous harmonies of Jan Messeder and Colin Anthony on vocals, and the swinging jazz band, The Uptown Hall Gang, present a concert that is just perfect for big band aficionados.
Featuring star musicians who have worked with the orchestras of Benny Goodman, Nelson Riddle, Billy May and Frank Sinatra, classic wartime chart toppers include: In the Mood, Moonlight Serenade, American Patrol and a tribute to the big bands complementing all the old Glenn Miller favourites.
As a tribute to Glenn’s USAAF Band and remembering the great concerts Glenn gave in Europe during WWII, the second half of the show is performed in US Army Airforce Uniforms.
