Peter Alliss

An evening with the voice of golf

With his father, Percy Alliss, among the finest players of his generation, it was perhaps inevitable that Peter would also make a career in golf.

With his inimitable, relaxed, and anecdotal style, Peter is in constant demand for speaking and presentation engagements. He is noted for his depth of knowledge of the game of golf, his wit and off-the-cuff humour. Join him for stories, a question and answer session and laughter.

'When it come to painting a picture with words, he's nothing short of Rembrandt...' Daily Telegraph

'Alliss is one of the finest strikers of the golf ball in the land…' Daily Telegraph

Did you know?

Peter set records from the moment he was born - he weighed in at a then European record of 14lbs 11oz.

Peter helped Sean Connery with his golf before the filming of Goldfinger, which involved James Bond playing against the eponymous villain at what is now Stoke Park GC.

Peter played in the Ryder Cup on eight occasions – in the days before the team became Europe of course. In 1963 he beat Arnold Palmer and halved with Tony Lema on the same day.
