Spring/Summer brochure 2015

Our May-August 2015 brochure is packed full of fabulous entertainment

The North Devon Theatres’ spring/summer brochure is here and kicking off the season is the ever popular Landmark Beer and Music Festival, with a great line-up including Skata Tones, Iron Tyger, The Liquidators aka and our very own, Ilfracombe Rocks.

The International Classical Concert Series concludes along with other musical highlights including visits from X Factor winner Joe McElderry and folk singer Kate Rusby.

There's great live drama lead by an all-star cast in the West End smash Twelve Angry Men; the beautifully romantic Persuasion, the wonderfully funny and musical Sex in Surburbia, and hard-hitting social issues in A Rainy Day. Plus there’s incredible National Theatre Live screenings including A View from the Bridge starring Mark Strong & Tom Stoppard's play The Hard Problem. Plus Royal Shakespeare Company Live's The Merchant of Venice Othello starring Holby City's Hugh Quarshie.

We welcome back the brilliantly witty and fast paced Reduced Shakespeare Company along with some superb comedy acts including Stewart Francis and the sold out Tim Vine and a warm welcome back to the Wurzels too.

There's plenty to keep families happy too with The Chuckle Brothers and Basi Brush amongst those gracing our stages.

Alan Dodd, Director of North Devon Theatres’ Trust said: "We're thrilled with our new brochure and the line-up we have for our spring/summer season. We can’t wait to welcome Twelve Angry Men from Bill Kenwright - last year’s biggest hit direct from the West End and also one of the biggest professional drama productions we have ever brought to the Queen’s Theatre.  And now in its 9th year Barnstaple Fringe Theatrefest returns in June with over 100 performances to choose from.“

“There’s plenty for the family including a welcome return of The Chuckle Brothers and The Basil Brush Show, plus our Make the Move Drama Group is presenting Peter Pan.  We've got music for all tastes, including Grammy award-winning saxophonist Tim Garland and his Quartet, Joe McElderry, Kate Rusby and Jasper Carrot is back with us with a double helping of stand Up and Rock – We round off the season with the very best of acts from the region at our Sunwest Beer & Music Festival at the Landmark Theatre - there's something for everyone and we can't wait to see people visiting the theatres to see their favourite show."
